The 6th International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM 2007) looks to be an interesting get-together with both GAMM (the [German] Society for Applied Mathematics and Mechanics) and the ESMTB (European Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology) organising embedded meetings. For GAMM, this will be their annual conference, while for the ESMTB it is likely to be an inter-conference meeting. ICIAM 2007 will be hosted by ETH Zürich. Zürich is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The conference runs at the ETH from July 16-20 2007.
With shorter notice but maybe of local interest is the Hamilton Institute's Second International Workshop on Systems Biology to be held in Maynooth, close to Dublin, Ireland, from July 17th to 19th this year. Applications for poster presentations and early registration closed yesterday, Friday May 5th, so those interested should contact Mark Verwoerd as soon as possible.
Finally, staying in Ireland, the National Institute for Cellular Biotechnology is hosting a conference on Global mRNA and Protein Expression Analysis [PDF 940KB] at Dublin City University in September. The conference could be of use to groups engaged in simulation or computer analysis in this area. Poster abstracts (the best 6 will be invited to give oral presentations) are to be submitted by June 2nd 2006.
